During my college days on a hot humid weekend afternoon, after having spent the morning in the reference section of the college library, took my tennis racquet out and strolled to the court only to be welcomed by the empty court! As I was practicing my serve alone, I saw the college number 2 player emerging. In the adjoining court he also started practicing his serve. After a few hits, he proposed for a game to me, who was some 30 places below him in ranking! I played like a man possessed, with deep serves and whiplash returns; I won the game 6-3!
Sometimes when our body is so very tired, it takes over the mind too. Imagine yourself at the end of the day clearing up the kitchen and your eyes just want to close. You force yourself to clean up because you don’t like a dirty kitchen the next day. In the process, you land up keeping the cooking oil in the freezer and the milk on the open shelf. Imagine the surprise in the morning.
Some English soap operas can be so interesting to watch. They are full of drama, emotions, suspense and boredom too. The actors do their parts religiously everyday, and we viewers do ours by watching them everyday and allowing them to take over our daily lives too. Getting glued to the TV is a common scenario every where now.
